EQUINE-ASSISTED RECOVERY

Connection. Trust. Healing—one step at a time.

Providing first responders, military members, veterans, and their families with opportunities to build connection, strengthen practical skills, and support well-being through equine-assisted experiences.

WHY EQUINE-ASSISTED EXPERIENCES

Another Path to Connection

Working alongside horses creates opportunities to be present and practice skills in communication, trust, regulation, and connection through a unique, hands-on experience.

Our Equine-Assisted Recovery Program was intentionally developed with an understanding of first responder and military culture, creating a supportive experience built specifically for the service community.

THE PROGRAM

Built with Purpose. Led with Experience.

The Healing Heroes Equine-Assisted Recovery Program is an eight-week, small-group experience combining structured, ground-based activities with horses, guided reflection, and practical skills development. Participants meet once a week, with the first cohort beginning in September and scheduled for Friday mornings.

The program is non-exposure-based—participants are never required to disclose or revisit traumatic experiences. Instead, the experience focuses on practical skills supporting stress regulation, communication, situational awareness, adaptability, healthy boundaries, and connection.
