Fundraising is a core component of the BFit Heroes Cup and plays a vital role in supporting charitable programs that directly benefit first responder and military families.
This page outlines fundraising requirements, key deadlines, and incentive opportunities for both individuals and teams. All fundraising is managed through RunSignUp, the tournament’s official fundraising platform.
Tournament benefits are determined based on both individual and team fundraising totals. This page will be updated as incentives are finalized—please check back regularly leading up to the weekend.
RunSignUp
RunSignUp is the official platform for all fundraising, team buy-in fees, and player verification.
All fundraising activity, payment deadlines, and incentive eligibility—including enhanced player packs and team rewards—are tracked and verified exclusively through RunSignUp.
Offline Donations
If you receive a donation by check and would like it credited to your team or individual fundraising page, please make the check payable to the Boston Bruins Foundation and include the team and participant name in the memo line or with an enclosed note.

Buy-In Fee
The team buy-in fee is $2,500 total. Teams are encouraged to fundraise beyond the buy‑in fee to further support the mission and unlock additional benefits.
Teams that raise $2,500 or more above the buy‑in fee will have the opportunity to select the charitable organization their additional funds will support.
Teams that raise less than $2,500 above the buy‑in fee will have their additional funds donated directly to the Healing Heroes Foundation, where they will be used to support well‑being initiatives and provide direct care and resources for first responder and military families.
New for 2026
For this year's tournament, two important updates have been introduced to the fundraising structure:
1. Fundraising Deadlines & Payment Milestones
Fundraising requirements are now tied to clearly defined deadlines throughout the lead‑up to tournament weekend. Meeting each milestone is required to maintain team eligibility.
2. Tier‑Based Player Packs
Player packs are now determined by individual fundraising totals rather than a single uniform package. Higher fundraising tiers unlock enhanced player packs and additional benefits.
Important Dates & Deadlines
At this time, C and D Divisions are full and operating on a waitlist. To guarantee participation, all fundraising and payment deadlines will be strictly enforced.
Failure to meet any deadline will result in a team’s spot being offered to a waitlisted team.
January 5, 2026
Registration opens.
March 5, 2026
A non‑refundable $500 deposit is due. This deposit secures your team’s spot in the tournament.
April 5, 2026
A minimum fundraising payment of $1,250 is due. If your team withdraws by this date, you are eligible for a 50% refund of your funds raised (minus the $500 deposit). Teams that withdraw after this date are not eligible for any refund.
May 5, 2026
The $2,500 buy-in fee is due. This is also the deadline for the team incentive to pick your own game times.
May 25, 2026
Deadline for the remaining team incentives and all individual incentives. Decisions are final and will be made at 12:00 AM on this date.
June 5-7, 2026
BFit Heroes Cup Hockey Tournament
July 5, 2026
Final fundraising deadline. Funds must be submitted by this date for all charitable donations.
Tier‑Based Player Packs
Player packs are determined by individual fundraising totals. Increased fundraising unlocks higher‑tier player packs and additional tournament benefits.
Each fundraising tier includes enhanced items and experiences as a way to recognize individual impact, effort, and commitment to the cause.
Player pack details will be announced and updated as fundraising progresses. Individual player packs are based on the following fundraising tiers:

Tier 2
$151 - $500
Tier 3
$501 - $1,000
Tier 4
$1,001 - $2,500
Tier 5
$2,500+
Team Incentives
As a special thank you for their efforts, the top five fundraising teams will have access to exclusive incentives designed to enhance the tournament experience.
Team incentives for the 2026 tournament are currently being finalized and will be announced as fundraising progresses. Eligibility will be based on verified team fundraising totals within RunSignUp.
